I have some exciting news….
There it is. Can you believe it! Still crazy to me.
Yesterday I had the opportunity to visit with my doctor and discus further options on my recovery. I was a bit nervous especially after my last appointment and finding that my back was now curving the wrong way. We were all glued on the x-rays as Doctor Klatt examined closely. He explained that I was fully fussed and the back was as straight as it will ever get, and that the lower curvature looked better from the last time. I was on track. I asked questions about some of the pain I have been going through and he explained that it will take time for a person as active as I am to get use to the hardware.  We discussed other topics of the back, such as, how my body was reacting through therapy and other activities that I feel a bit limited with.  Then as he was explaining the stages I was going through he said,  “You may do anything now,” I stopped him and knowing my curiosity I asked, “What do you mean by anything?” He jokingly answered, “You can go ride a bull and be just fine; though I wouldn’t suggest it.” So instantly I asked the question I have been waiting to ask for 7 months, “Can I start dancing again?” He smiled and said yes, I turned to Enoch and said, “You heard it right out the doctors mouth.”
This answer was something I was only expecting to hear for another year if that!! I mean, before I had made the decision to have the procedure I figured that I would not ever be able to dance (dance to what I wanted to be) again. I guess the hard work is paying off. So I am so excited to announce that I got the official permission to begin dancing again.  I can’t wait to be back out on the floor, any floor for that matter. I am just missing dance so much and constantly being surrounded by so many amazing dancers, I am just reminded how much I love dancing.

It’s so CRAZY to see how far I have come. My body is all new to me and I can’t wait to find out what it does next.
Don’t think that Dance is the only thing I am looking forward to. Trust me I have created a bucket list of things that I have always wanted to do, daring, and dreamed of doing. I can’t wait to share with you the experiences that will come from this. The sky is the limit they say and I say there is so much more. Reaching for the stars.
